Beer Review – Coopers 62 Pilsner

Coopers 62 PilsnerName: 62

Brand: Coopers

Brewer: Coopers

Type: Lager

Style: Pilsner

Region:  South Australia

Brewers Description: Coopers 62 is based on the classic  Pilsner, with a light golden colour and thick foam. It has the distinctive Saaz flavour one should expect from a good pilsner and also uses Hersbrucker Hops. Added to this, Coopers 62 displays a delicious combination of Malt, that gives it a pleasant, lasting sweetness.

Justins Review:

Coming from the Coopers Family, Coopers 62 was an unexpected brew, it is obvious that their forte is in Ales. Pilsner 62 has an initial rich flavour of Saaz hops and malt with a refreshing bitterness that turns into an after-taste that is so crisp there is no flavour, and the head and lacing are a dissapointment.

Coopers 62 is a great beer for those that like thier lagers in nice bottles with little flavour. Coopers 62 is obviously Coopers belated answer to CUB’s Crown Lager, but between those two Coopers 62 Pilsner wins.
